CREATION OF A SUBHOLDING UKRAINE RENEWABLE ENERGY HOLDINGS UREH LIMITED

On December 30, 2016, the company’s shareholders created a subholding company UKRAINE RENEWABLE ENERGY HOLDINGS UREH LIMITED (UREH), Cyprus. Ruslan Bozhko becomes the ultimate beneficial owner of UREH in the amount of 50% of the share of the authorized capital.

The main objectives of creating an industry holding company were the need to systematize the development of projects in the field of solar energy, further structuring activities in the implementation of a number of projects in the field of alternative energy, creating a transparent ownership structure, as well as attracting financing.

The importance of alternative energy for Ukraine is undeniable. This is due to the conscious acceptance of the need to switch to renewable energy sources, which is also a global trend. Back in 2009, the law on the “green tariff” was adopted. This branch of electricity production from renewable sources in a short period of time turned out to be the leading one on the territory of Ukraine. In 2013, the tariff was brought to the average European level, and the year 2015 brought positive legislative changes, which made this area attractive for investment and dynamically developing.

UKRAINE RENEWABLE ENERGY HOLDINGS UREH LIMITED (UREH) is an industry subholding company whose activities are aimed at the development and implementation of a number of projects for the construction of solar power plants in the Zaporizhzhia region as part of the implementation of the ASTRA CAPITAL investment strategy.
